Southern Chapter – Christmas Party and Hall of Fame Luncheon on December 2, 2017
Dear IACDE Members and friends,
I am writing to update you about our very successful 50th anniversary celebration that took place on September 16, 2017. With over 60 members and guests in attendance, it was a great opportunity to renew old acquaintances and start new friendships. Some of our past Presidents shared their reflections on the last 50 years of the organization and our key note speaker, Bob Marino, Head Merchandiser for Lanier Clothes and a seasoned veteran of the Hart Schaffner and Marx group, shed his insights on where our industry is heading. We even were visited, by video at least, by an old friend, Gordon Cohen, who wished us well in our celebration and the next 50 years.
If you were unable to attend this event, please consider attending our Christmas party and Hall of Fame induction ceremony on December 2, 2017. We will be inducting very deserving members into both the Designer and Supplier categories of the Hall of Fame. If you have not been able to attend any of our recent meetings, you have missed out on some outstanding and timely presentations. We have had presenters update us on the performance wear trend in tailored clothing, robotics on the sewing floor, and the role of Free Trade Agreements in global sourcing. The December 2nd meeting is a great opportunity to see the growth of the Southern Chapter and role all of us play in its success. The Christmas luncheon will be from 11:30 to 2:00 at Maggiano’s at Perimeter Mall, just North of Atlanta. I would personally like to invite all our members and friends to mark your calendars to attend this great event. It will be great to see all of you there.
