Dick Laan has a master’s degree in applied mathematics of Delft University in the Netherlands. In 2005 Dick joined Van de Velde and set up an R&D cell to initiate innovations. He is now working as leader Innovation Studies, focusing on fit related innovations.
During the presentation Dick will walk you through the steps Van de Velde made in bringing 3D bra fit to a customer’s online personal fitting room.
Shaping the future: Introducing 3D Education to the fashion industry - Diana Schavon
Formally trained pattern maker. Graduate of the Academy of Cutting and Tailoring in Stockholm. Previous experiences ranges form working at Swedish fashion brand Filippa K to freelacing with independent designers and smaller fashion brands. Currently working as a freelance pattern maker and teacher, teaching both manual and digital pattern drafting as well as structuring the first purely 3D-oriented pattern drafting course in Sweden.

Dominic leads PVH-backed startup STITCH, building software products & transformation services that enable fashion brand to scale their digital value chain with 3D capabilities. STITCH started its journey with the 3D transformation at Tommy Hilfiger & Calvin Klein and is now moving beyond PVH.
During the 30 min presentation Dominic will tell how 3D will enable us to rethink the way we make product and bring back the craft in fashion.

I have been with Tesco for 5 years, and currently manage their pattern room where I use 2D & 3D technology daily.
I spent 3 years studying fashion design at Bournemouth Arts University, which is where I was first introduced to Lectra and 3D technology.
As I have progressed through my career I have continued to use this brilliant technology , and look forward to where it will take us in the future.

Craig Crawford is founderpreneur of Crawford IT, a London-based consulting firm specialising in the digital transformation of brands. Formerly at Burberry, as the VP IT Strategy, Architecture & Relationships, Craig led the deployment of PLM, the development of the collaborative social enterprise Burberry World, the introduction of 3D and hologram technologies, the transformation of Retail Technology, and Runway to Reality allowing consumers to buy direct from the runway. Craig has also lead digital initiatives at Tory Burch, Liz Claiborne and Gap.
Sandra Gagnon, 3D.RC
Sandy Gagnon is the Director of Apparel Innovation and 3D Digital Transformation at Target. Her role in Product Design and Development focuses on the application of 3D software and other emerging technologies to drive apparel development forward. She has over 20 years of experience leading apparel teams in technical design, product development, and sourcing. She is one of the founders of the 3DRC, (3D Retail Coalition) a collaborative, industry wide group focused on providing direction, resources and networking opportunities to members to unlock and accelerate the value of 3D transformation.
