a look back on our november 2022 event
In the last event, we invited Sophie Kurkdjian, Assistant Professor at the American University of Paris, who presented a brief history of the fashion during these two decades, touching on the questions of production, of consumption and reception while also exploring the questions of gender and “femininity”.
Adobe Substance 3D, Assyst and Browzwear additionally hosted live webinars on workflows in their systems, and we also launched our so-called “digital assets” for the assignment, such as ready-made patterns, physically and visually digitized fabrics, and more.
The ready made patterns are available for 4 of the 6 assignments, ranging from beginners, intermediate, to advanced. You choose the level you feel comfortable working on.
If you don’t have a 3D Software License, our Platinum Sponsors Assyst, Browzwear, and Style3D are currently offering free trial licenses!
Assyst users can register for a 4 weeks free trial versions of Vidya here. Contact Bettina Peichl for extension possibility.
Browzwear offer their free trial through the “Indie License” when you register with your private email address, more information here.
Style3D will shortly offer their free trial, a link will follow soon. Please keep an eye on this page.
When you feel inspired to create a look of your own, feel free to either use our patterns as a base or create something completely new. Remember, we do not want to see copies of original designs and instead garments inspired from the six different themes.
With the additional months we have added in between the events, you will also be able to challenge and push yourself in 3D. Take this chance and invest time in making an animation or enhance your garment presentations in other programs such as Blender and Adobe Substance 3D.
